WSP is seeking an experienced archaeologist for a dynamic role in its Heritage team. This position emphasizes collaboration with Indigenous communities while managing diverse terrestrial and marine archaeological projects across Canada and internationally. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams, helping to advance WSP's marine heritage practice, with a focus on cultural landscapes and historical waterfronts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead terrestrial archaeological field programs and impact assessments
• Participate in marine and underwater archaeological investigations
• Assist with marine surveys using remote-sensing technologies
• Collaborate with senior underwater archaeologists on project execution
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or related discipline
• Professional experience in marine archaeological consulting
• Knowledge of BC and federal heritage legislation
• Solid technical writing and project management skills
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and willingness to travel
