Truck Driver

Wage: $45.00 Hourly Wage

Benefits: Paid sick leave, 3 weeks vacation, comprehensive benefits, and 5.5% employer pension match

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, up to 60 hours per week (depending on operational needs)

Location: Prince George, BC to Fort Ware, BC (round trip)

Kwadacha Nation (Tsek’ene) is commonly known as Fort Ware and is located approximately 570 km north of Prince George, at the confluence of the Fox, Kwadacha, and Finlay rivers in the Rocky Mountain Trench.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects and Logistics, the Truck Driver is responsible for transporting 1 to 2 loads per week between Prince George and Fort Ware and maintaining the truck's maintenance and cleanliness.

- Operate commercial truck safely along the Prince George - Fort Ware route.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured and handled with care.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.




- Maintain cleanliness of the truck’s interior and exterior after each trip.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel use.
- Complete effectively with dispatch and follow delivery schedules.

Qualifications

- Valid Class 1 driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience driving in a remote or rural area preferred
- Clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search, and reference checks
