Main responsibilities

- Inspect trucks to identify mechanical, electrical, and safety problems.
- Diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment, testing tools, and visual inspections.
- Repair and replace parts such as brakes, engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension, and exhaust components.
- Service diesel engines and fuel systems.
- Repair electrical systems, including batteries, starters, alternators, wiring, and electronic controls.
- Check and repair braking systems to ensure the truck meets safety requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce breakdowns and extend vehicle life.
- Road-test vehicles after repairs to make sure they are operating properly.
- Keep maintenance records and document repairs and parts used.




- Follow workplace and safety regulations, including proper handling of tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
- Communicate with drivers and supervisors about vehicle problems and recommended repairs.
- Keep the work area and tools organized and maintain equipment in good condition.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
