NRC is seeking a highly focused Thermal Imaging Specialist to enhance capabilities in aircraft autonomy. This role emphasizes technical skills including thermal sensor calibration, operation, and data extraction. You will conduct applied research and collaborate to ensure high-quality thermal data supports dual defense and civilian applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and calibrate thermal sensors on aircraft
• Configure and operate thermal imaging systems
• Extract meaningful data from thermal imagery
• Document findings and contribute to scientific publications
• Support integration of thermal sensors with electro-optical systems
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Physics, or Geophysics
• Hands-on experience with thermal imagers
• Familiarity with airborne thermal data collection
• Skilled in developing data processing pipelines
• Knowledgeable in thermal sensor evaluation and correction
