Take charge of patient diagnostics as a Diagnostic Sonographer I at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta. This full-time role emphasizes high-quality ultrasound examinations and collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
As a Diagnostic Sonographer I, you will be integral to our diagnostic imaging unit. Your work will span both general and cardiac imaging, actively contributing to patient care and clinical interventions. You will work closely with Radiologists, Cardiologists, and other medical staff to ensure accurate diagnostic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform standardized and specialized ultrasound examinations
• Prepare and educate patients about procedures
• Capture and document diagnostic-quality images
• Collaborate during special procedures with medical teams
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and care
Requirements:
• Extended diploma from an accredited program in ultrasound
• Registration or eligibility with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• CRGS and CRCS credentials preferred
• Ability to work adaptable schedules including on-call shifts
