Contribute to patient care at UHN as an Instrument Coordinator. This role focuses on inventory management, ordering, and cataloging of surgical instruments to ensure operational efficiency.
This permanent, full-time position at Toronto General Hospital/Toronto Western Hospital requires a highly organized professional to oversee the acquisition and maintenance of instrumentation. You'll collaborate with clinical teams and assist in repairs, while managing a agile inventory process. Your efforts will be vital in supporting surgical operations across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate instrumentation based on daily surgical schedules
• Manage new instrument set accuracy and documentation
• Assist with instrumentation projects and tray building
• Maintain organized instrument storage and inventory control
• Serves as a primary liaison for purchasing and troubleshooting issues
Requirements:
• High school completion + under 1-year related program
• 4-6 years practical experience or 2 years on-the-job training
• Proficiency in inventory management systems
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
