Burlington Hydro seeks a Substation Electrician, either Journeyperson or Apprentice, to oversee vital testing and maintenance tasks. The individual will conduct electrical checks, operate substation equipment, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Enrolling in the MEARIE certification program is required for apprenticeship candidates to progress.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, test, and repair substation electrical systems
• Maintain and inspect key substation components
• Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues




• Perform cable testing and fault locating
• Manage substation SCADA system configurations

Requirements:
• Accredited diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
• MEARIE Substation Electrician certification or equivalent
• Valid G Class Ontario driver’s licence
• Proficient in AutoCAD is an advantage
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying conditions
