Advance community-driven climate initiatives with the Squamish Nation as a Climate Action Specialist. This role focuses on implementing the Climate Legacy Strategy to create meaningful environmental impact.

As part of the Climate Action team, you will support the Nation's ambitious sustainability goals by applying your expertise in climate policy, project management, and community engagement. You will lead climate projects and build partnerships with various stakeholders, ensuring progress and awareness of climate priorities throughout Squamish Territory.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the Climate Legacy Strategy goals effectively
• Lead climate projects and community engagement initiatives
• Build cooperative relationships with stakeholders and partners




• Coordinate workshops and public outreach to boost awareness
• Research and identify funding opportunities for climate programs

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 3–5 years experience in climate action or environmental policy
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and research tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
