Shape the lives of pediatric cancer survivors as a General Practitioner at UHN's Survivorship Clinic. This part time role focuses on improving mental health and well-being post-cancer treatment.
UHN, Canada's leading hospital network, seeks a General Practitioner specializing in Oncology to work in its Pediatric Aftercare Program. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support young survivors, addressing their mental health and lifestyle challenges. In this position, you will utilize Children’s Oncology Group guidelines to develop personalized follow-up care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work at the Survivorship Clinic with young cancer survivors
• Create surveillance recommendations using established guidelines
• Collaborate with primary care providers on patient care
• Initiate referrals and follow up on surveillance investigations
• Provide in-person and occasional virtual clinic visits
Requirements:
• Licensed to practice medicine in Ontario
• Experience in acute care and cancer care preferred
• Strong interest and knowledge in cancer patient support
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
• Responsible and organized in a clinical environment
