With an initial commitment of approximately 10 cases and cases assigned in batches of 5, this contract is packed with chance. Plus, there is a £648 induction/training payment after completing your first 5 cases, and the role includes mandatory two-day system induction and a one-day moving and handling induction.

What you will do

Complete Occupational Therapy assessments for children and young people, ensuring they receive the support they need.

Oversee and manage your cases through to completion as part of the Waiting List Clearance Project.





Assess equipment and adaptation requirements for each case, making necessary recommendations.

Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and provide detailed reports.

Conduct face-to-face visits with families to gain insights and deliver effective care plans.

Document all records and assessments using the Mosaic system.

Arrange the provision of essential equipment as required.

Initiate major adaptation referrals for those appropriate cases.

Secure manager sign-off and ensure case closures are handled efficiently.

Work independently while maintaining a high standard of professional care.

Requirements

Degree in Occupational Therapy, supported by HCPC registration.

Significant experience in Children’s Occupational Therapy and Social Care.

Proven ability to work autonomously whilst managing complex cases.

Competency in conducting assessments, making equipment recommendations, and processing adaptation referrals.

Exceptional report writing and case management skills.

Familiarity with the Mosaic system.

Experience with Local Authorities and waiting list clearance projects.

Knowledge in moving and handling.

Extensive experience in Children’s Social Care Occupational Therapy.
