Contribute to clean fusion energy at General Fusion as an Applied Physicist. Focus on plasma analysis and modeling at our Richmond, BC facility.
As part of the Applied Physics team at General Fusion, you will develop magnetized target fusion (MTF) technology. This role demands a self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills who can navigate a rapid-paced environment. You will work on innovative solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, particularly analyzing experimental campaigns and refining computational models.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze diagnostic data from plasma experiments
• Propose new experimental campaigns and simulations
• Curate and interpret experimental data for analysis
• Collaborate on models of spherical tokamak plasmas
• Present results to technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering physics or physics
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong foundation in thermodynamics and electromagnetics
• Experience programming in Python and/or C# / C++
• Ability to create efficient algorithms
