About Hiredbuddy

Hiredbuddy is a fast-growing technology company dedicated to simplifying the hiring process for businesses and job seekers alike. Our platform leverages intelligent matching and a user-friendly interface to connect talent with opportunities seamlessly. We are a remote-first team with a strong presence in New York City, and we value creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

The Role

We are looking for an entry-level User Experience Designer to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will work alongside senior designers, product managers, and engineers to craft intuitive and delightful experiences for our web and mobile applications. You will have the opportunity to own design tasks from research to implementation, learning best practices and contributing to a product that impacts thousands of users daily.

As an early-career designer, you will be supported by a structured mentorship program and clear growth paths. You will participate in design critiques, collaborate on cross-functional projects, and gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle. This is a remote position, but you will be expected to align with Eastern Time Zone working hours and occasionally travel to our New York office for team events and workshops.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand user needs and business goals
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using Figma
- Conduct user research (interviews, surveys, usability tests) and synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback from stakeholders and users
- Contribute to and maintain our design system, ensuring consistency across all product surfaces

- Assist in analyzing user analytics and A/B test results to inform design decisions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging design tools
- Document design decisions and rationale for future reference
- Ensure all designs are accessible and inclusive, following WCAG guidelines

What We Offer At Hiredbuddy, we believe in investing in our employees. You will receive dedicated time for learning, a budget for professional development, and regular one-on-one check-ins with your manager. Our remote culture is built on trust and communication, with daily stand-ups, async collaboration, and monthly virtual social hours. You will also have access to our New York office if you prefer to work from a physical location occasionally.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. If you are passionate about creating meaningful user experiences and eager to grow in a supportive setting, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every qualification listed. Your unique perspective is valuable to us.

Join us and help shape the future of hiring technology!
