Our GFL Industrial Services team is seeking Vacuum Truck Operators in Trail, BC. The responsibilities include but are not limited to transporting, removing, delivering, and collecting diverse liquid and solid hazardous wastes from different locations. This role also provides the opportunity to operate a wide range of vac trucks and gain experience with high pressure pumps and equipment.
Operate various trucks to perform tasks required by the customer ranging from vacuum trucks and hydro-vacs to combo-vacs and high-pressure pumps and equipment. Operate chemical cleaning equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, circulation units) to perform tasks required by the customer. Set up and control hoses attached to the pumps to ensure the safe and effective pumping of water.
Ensure all equipment and tooling is cleaned and stored in the appropriate unit, case,
or container before it is returned to the shop. Participate in job site preparation, including the rigging in/out of equipment.
Valid
Class 3 drivers’ license with an acceptable commercial driving abstract; Class 1 driver’s license is an asset. Ability to travel when required. Ability to provide exceptional customer service to GFL clients and customers.
