Become a key player in mental health support with Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services as a full time Social Worker I. This position offers clinical interventions in various community settings, promoting vital mental health and addictions services.
You will join the Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) to deliver comprehensive assessments and interventions directly to clients in crisis. This role demands a Bachelor’s in Social Work, applicable licensing, and at least two years in mental health counseling. You will collaborate with emergency responders and community resources, ensuring a coordinated approach for clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend mental health crisis calls collaboratively with the RCMP
• Conduct mental health assessments and documentation
• Provide walk-in clinic services after hours
• Facilitate clinical case conferencing and research
• Offer clinical consultations to team members
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required
• Registration with NLCSW needed
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
• Minimum two years of relevant experience
• Strong communication and analytical skills
