About the Position

The Fixed Plant Mechanic – Process is part of the maintenance team within the processing department. He/she is responsible for performing routine maintenance on fixed equipment according to established priorities and in accordance with best maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on fixed process equipment

Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues (hydraulic, mechanical, etc.)

Be able to perform welding and cutting work

Complete work orders in the computer system to maintain records/history

Ensure work areas are clean and secure at all times, in compliance with 5S standards

Participate in the development of maintenance procedures with the reliability team

Follow and apply work procedures as well as health and safety standards





Take part in departmental health and safety activities

Report any incidents/accidents to the supervisor

Maintain records related to equipment maintenance

Collaborate and participate in projects and testing with external stakeholders to improve maintenance practices

Perform any other related duties as required

Education and Experience

College diploma or vocational diploma in mechanics

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Valid driver’s license

Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to work in a multicultural team environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions

Schedule: 14 days on site followed by 14 days off

Éléonore mine site (fly-in/fly-out from Montréal, Chibougamau, Matagami, Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, and Wemindji)
