Operations Full Time Canada Hybrid $50,000 - $58,000 CAD per year

Salary(hiring range): $50,000 and $58,000, plus health and dental benefits (after three months) and RRSP and/or TFSA matching (after two years of service)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday. This position does require travel and a flexible work schedule, working evenings, weekends, and overnights.

Location: Virtual Working withpossible travel. (1-2 days per week in-person, if based in GTA or Montreal)

Role Overview
We areseekinga detail-oriented and highly organized Coordinator, FinanceandOperationsto support the day-to-day financial, accounting, payroll, and administrative functions of our organization. Reporting to the Finance Lead, this roleis responsible forassistingwith financial reporting, budgeting, bookkeeping, payroll administration, compliance reporting, and funder reporting across multiple programs.

TheCoordinator,Finance and Operations will contribute to the SCC’'s financial integrity and operational effectiveness by supporting the full accounting cycle, preparing financial analyses and reconciliations,maintainingpayroll and HR records, and providing administrative support as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and making a meaningful impact through operational excellence and strong financial stewardship.

About the Role
What will you do?
REPORTING/FINANCIAL ANALYSIS DUTIES

Assistin preparation of monthlyfinancialstatements andbudgetvarianceanalysis.

Assistinpreparationandmonitoringthecorporateannualbudget and forecast.

Assistin preparation of cash flowreportingandanalysis.

Assistinpreparationof year-end financial statement reviewforpublicaccountants.

Develop an excellent understanding of program funding agreements toassistinpreparation of thereportingfor multipleprogramstofundersandmaintainsupporting documentation forcompliance.

BOOKKEEPING DUTIES:

Assistwiththe full accounting cycle.

Data entry viaQBO ofall receivables, payables,and journal entrieswithappropriate supportingdocumentation.

Prepare and reconcile AP reports for payment approval

Prepareonlinebank payments for approval

Reconcile credit card statements with receipts for payment

Create all invoices andmaintainprogram partner invoice schedules

Prepare and reconcile AR reports

Prepare and process all bank deposits

Maintain an orderly accounting filingsystem.





Assistin preparation ofsignificant accountreconciliationsasrequired.

PAYROLL DUTIES:

Prepare regular payroll package including employee changes for processing with external payroll provider

Review timesheets andallocatetoappropriate program

Track and process honoraria payments

Process expense claims with proper documentation

Assistwith payroll compliance reporting including T4A’s

Manage HR files

OTHEROPERATIONALDUTIES:

Supporting the employee management cycle processes.

Contribute to thesuccess andgrowth of SCC byassistingwith varioustasks as requested

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

A degree or diploma in Accounting,Finance,Business Administration, or equivalentwork-relatedexperience.

Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles.

Minimum three (3) years accounting and payroll processing experience preferably in a non-for-profit setting.

ProficientwithQuickBooksOnline.

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Strong organizationaland time managementskills for prioritizing demands,workflow, and meeting deadlines.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment

Self-motivatedand comfortable working independently
