What You’ll Do As a Truck Driver, you’ll operate tractor-trailers to move freight safely and efficiently between terminals, yards, customer sites, and work locations. You’ll play a key role in keeping freight moving on time while representing GT Group with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailer combinations over local and long-distance routes
Pick up, transport, and deliver freight on schedule
Drop, hook, spot, and interchange equipment as needed
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Maintain driver logs and required transport documentation
Ensure cargo is secure and properly handled
Assist with loading and unloading when required
Follow all Transport Canada Hours of Service regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
Perform related duties as assigned




What You Bring Required Qualifications Valid Class 1 driver’s license
3–5 years of verified Class 1 driving experience
QUICK card or ability to obtain one
Valid passport and eligibility for U.S. entry for short trips
Skills & Strengths Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
Good written and verbal communication skills
Mechanical awareness and ability to perform basic truck checks
Strong spatial awareness, coordination, and reaction time
Ability to lift/push 50+ lbs
Customer-focused, dependable, and organized
Able to work independently and as part of a team
