Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain instrumentation lab equipment encompassing pneumatic, electronic and analytic equipment as well as DCS, PLC, and personal computers.
Maintain, design, and set up lab equipment.
Purchase, manage and perform inventory checks on components/supplies and equipment.
Install and administrate computer and network software.
Find creative solutions to complex problems through collaboration and self-directed learning.
Skills & Abilities This position requires initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently.
Manual dexterity and strong interpersonal skills are a must.
Qualifications A diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology, or an Instrument Technician Journeyperson certificate preferred (apprentices will be considered).
Considerable (3 to 5 years) directly related experience.
Combinations of education and experience, clearly identified as being in a function like this position, will also be considered.
Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).

Classification – Computer Systems Support Technologist II Compensation range: $69,161.49 - $92,940.53
