Time Type: Full Time
Compensation: Salary range $60,000 to 70,000, plus eligible benefits, in accordance with experience and internal equity

SUMMARY Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be responsible for the management, support and development, implementing, and maintaining the Canadian Health & Safety Management System for the site. The secondary responsibility will include the management, implementation and continued development of our operational excellence program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for all Provincial H&S; requirements including record retention and reporting obligations
Collect H&S; Data, maintain database for the site, and communicate results to leadership team
Develop Corrective Action Plans, (CAP’s), based on internal H&S; Audits. Work with site leadership to keep CAP’s current
Co-chair and monitor the Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings at the site
Support the various H&S; audit and inspection processes at the site
Respond to H&S; related enquires received from within the Canadian network
Support the Return to Work Program and claims management
Coordinate and support the site in the sourcing and supply of H&S; related products and services
Coordinate and facilitate employee awareness training
Conduct Hazard Assessments, through task analysis, physical demands analysis, risk assessments and workplace inspections; Recommending and/or implementing corrective action
Manages measurable process improvement initiatives and drive value for the organization.
Identifies opportunities, champions proposals, deploys solutions, measures and tracks benefits.
Conducts workshops with subject matter experts from the business to identify value streams, understand how workflows between teams and business segments and identify gaps and pain points.
Designs effective process and performance management solutions (value streams, workflow, metrics framework, queue design and resource models).
Develops and maintains a roadmap of process improvement through utilization and analyzation of WMS Labour Management System.
Contribute to the creation of and/or maintenance of instructional documents, such as SOP, work procedures and training documents
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Two years of Health & Safety experience preferred.
One year of Continuous Improvement preferred.
Full understanding of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
In-depth knowledge of all relevant legislation and standards in the province of Ontario
Understanding of WSIB and claims processes.
Proven track record of delivering business results.
Developed ability to think strategically and execute tactically, including the willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
