About Containerland
Containerland is a growing Calgary-based company specializing in versatile storage solutions, including shipping container sales, rentals, modifications, storage and delivery.
We are a small, hands-on team located in NE Calgary, which means every team member plays an important role in the success of the business. We are looking for someone who is professional, motivated and confident—someone who can provide excellent service to customers while actively helping us grow our commercial client base.
This is not simply an order-taking position. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, finding opportunities, following up and closing business.
Location: NE Calgary, Alberta
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Compensation: $41,600 base salary + uncapped commission
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales: Act as a primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, online inquiries and walk-in customers.
Business Development: Proactively contact construction companies, contractors, industrial businesses, logistics companies, property managers and other potential commercial customers to introduce Containerland’s products and services.
Lead Generation: Research and identify prospective customers throughout Calgary and surrounding areas and develop current business opportunities.
Quoting & Closing: Understand customer requirements, prepare quotes, follow up consistently and work toward closing container sales, rentals and related services.
Account Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and generate repeat and referral business.
Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of shipping container sizes, conditions, uses, modifications, rentals, sales, storage and delivery requirements.
Industry Knowledge: Become familiar with the needs of the construction, industrial,
transportation and logistics sectors so you can confidently recommend appropriate solutions.
Office Support: Maintain an organized and professional sales office and ensure customers visiting our NE Calgary location receive prompt assistance.
Sales Administration: Maintain accurate customer information, quotes, leads, follow-ups and sales records.
Customer Visits: Occasionally attend scheduled customer or business visits when an in-person meeting can help develop or close an prospect.
Qualifications
Fluent and professional English communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
Confident speaking with business owners, contractors, managers and commercial customers
Comfortable making outbound calls and approaching prospective businesses
Professional, polished and well-presented
Motivated, energetic and results-oriented
Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Comfortable using email, Microsoft Office and general computer/CRM systems
Able to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers
Able to work independently and take initiative without needing constant supervision
Reliable, punctual and accountable
Valid driver’s licence and reliable personal transportation
Previous experience in sales, customer service, construction, equipment rental, logistics, transportation or a related industry is an asset
