Casual On-Call Veterinary Technician – Overnight Patient Care

Not every hero wears scrubs… but in this case, it definitely helps.

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in a casual, on-call overnight role caring for hospitalized patients when they need us most. Some nights are quiet, some are busy, and some weeks may have no overnight shifts at all — this position is entirely as-needed based on hospitalized patient care.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident, independent, and genuinely enjoys overnight nursing care and patient monitoring. We need someone dependable who can occasionally step in on short notice (sometimes with only a few hours’ notice) and comfortably manage patient care solo overnight.

What you’ll do:

- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients overnight
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Keep detailed and accurate patient records
- Recognize changes in patient status and respond appropriately
- Keep patients comfortable, clean, and safe through the night




- Work independently while maintaining a calm, organized clinic environment

What we’re looking for:

- Veterinary Technician experience required
- Confident and comfortable working alone overnight
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Calm under pressure and able to handle emergencies independently
- Flexible availability and reliability are a must
- Someone who truly cares about patient comfort and quality nursing care

The details:

- Casual / on-call position
- Overnight shifts only when hospitalized patients are in clinic
- Variable hours based on clinic needs
- Compensation based on experience
