Job Summary

This is your chance to share your love of music, inspire and guide the next generation of musicians!

We are looking for engaging and talented vocal, guitar, and drum teachers who are as enthusiastic about music as we are. We have a very diverse group of students – ranging from young to mature, beginner to advanced, with a variety of musical genre preferences. We treat each student as an individual and recognize and embrace that each person’s musical motivations and goals are different.

Responsibilities

- Teaching private 30-60 minute lessons




- Create personalized lesson plans for each student that are reflective of the student’s goals and learning styles, and incorporate reading, theory, ear training, and technique
- Create a supportive environment in which students are encouraged to grow
- Provide feedback to parents (where applicable)
- High level of communication skills
- Able to cover diverse musical genres

- Strong time management skills
- Minimum Grade 8 RCM or studied music at a post-secondary level

- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Available to teach on Wednesdays (1pm/3pm - 8pm), Thursdays (1pm/3pm – 8pm), and/or Saturdays (10am – 3pm/6pm)
- A strong love of music and teaching
