Join us and design your place with Stantec.OverviewAn prospect exists for an Electrical Engineering Coop Student in our downtown Vancouver office’s Buildings Group.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of CAD drawings from sketches or mark-ups for buildings related projectsFamiliarization with load calculations, voltage drop, and short circuit calculationsFamiliarization with lighting calculations to meet sustainability standards and regulationsAssistance to engineers and project managers may include:Completion of equipment schedules, communications, security, and lighting systemsPreparation of single line diagrams and control schematicsSelection of electrical equipment, overcurrent protection devices, and wiring methodsSite inspections and site meetingsPreparation of technical reportsProject coordination including interfacing with clients and contractors.Capabilities and CredentialsCurrently enrolled in the electrical engineering co-op or equivalent post-secondary program with availability for a 4-12 month internship.Must have an interest in building systems including lighting, security, communication systems, and sustainable building design/green technologyPower related courses/knowledge is an assetAutoCAD familiarity/experience is strongly preferred; Revit experience an assetExcellent interpersonal, verbal,



and written communication skillsDetail oriented team player and the ability to work independentlyPreparation of Revit models and/or CAD drawings from sketches or mark-ups for buildings related projectsEducation and ExperienceStudents who have completed second or third year in an Electrical Engineering program are encouraged to apply. Prior relevant experience is a definite asset.Pay Range$23.37 - $32.07 HourlyPay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
