TAQA North is seeking a Jr. Applications Analyst to join our Information Technology team in our Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Solutions, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting and enhancing critical business applications, developing data-driven solutions, and enabling operational excellence across the organization. This position combines application support, data analytics, reporting, and process automation, requiring a proactive individual who can collaborate with stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and leverage tools such as Power BI, and SQL to solve real-world Oil & Gas business challenges. The ideal candidate is analytical, customer-focused, and passionate about driving continuous improvement through technology and data.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support and training for business applications including Maximo, SiteView, WellView, ProdView, Power BI, and other enterprise applications.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and service requests.
Monitor application performance and escalated complex issues to senior analysts or vendors.




Active engagement in the development of data solutions to address real-life Oil & Gas business challenges.
Develop and maintain Power BI solutions.
Perform data validation and quality checks.
Assist with SQL queries, data extraction, and data analysis activities.
Support application enhancements, testing, and release activities.
Support and maintain integrations between applications.
Process automation (Power Automate / workflow solutions).
User adoption and training.
Documentation and knowledge management.
Qualifications 1–3 years of relevant experience; internships and/or co‑op experience is considered an asset
Prior Oil and Gas experience considered an asset
Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Software/Computer/Systems Engineering or related field
Experience writing/using SQL to query, validate, and troubleshoot data
Experience with Power BI, or similar reporting tools, and data modeling would be considered an asset
Experience with or exposure to Maximo, ProdView, SiteView, WellView would be considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft tools (Excel, Power Platform)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving workplace
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement
Self‑starter and team‑oriented




Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Ability to provide three satisfactory professional references and complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
