Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience

4-5 years’ experience working with children, youth and families in mental health required.

Experience with Brief Treatment, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, behavioural and emotional regulation and family systems interventions an asset.

Providing individual, parent/care provider and group-focused intervention.

Working within a multidisciplinary team.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Master’s degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution required.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

Active member in good standing of an associated regulatory body as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

Core knowledge of child and adolescent development and mental health issues in childhood and adolescence with an emphasis on Tourette syndrome, ADHD, ASD, intellectual disability and anxiety.

Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary health and social services team.

Training and demonstrated skill in several clinical modalities, with an emphasis on family therapy intervention.

Experience with Brief Treatment, CBT,



and behavioral interventions both individually and as they relate to integration within a family system approach an asset.

Knowledge of community-based mental health service delivery, culturally competent practice, and the bio-psychosocial approach to mental health are desirable.

Understanding and appreciation of the impact of our history related to colonization and outcomes from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including its Calls to Action.

Physical Requirements

May be required to work safely in a typical computerized office setting with frequent meetings.

May be required to travel throughout the service area requiring a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
