As a Technical Welding Associate, you will work closely with a team of engineers, technologists, and tradespeople. Your responsibilities will include interpreting fabrication regulations, monitoring welding parameters, and preparing documentation. Under the guidance of a Welding Services Supervisor, you will also conduct performance qualifications and assist clients in implementing welding technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with engineers on oil and gas infrastructure projects
• Interpret welding regulatory requirements and client specifications
• Monitor welding performance and write qualification records
• Conduct welder performance testing under supervision
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety standards
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Welding Engineering or related field
• Welding Examiner Certificate of Competency required
• CSA W178.2 Level 2 Welding Inspector Certificate required
• Eligibility for T.T., C.E.T., or E.I.T. status
