Lead the way at The Salvation Army's Warming Center as a Shift Lead. This role is focused on supporting vulnerable clients and ensuring effective intervention in a challenging environment.
In this vital position, you will develop therapeutic relationships with residents while coordinating the shift's workflow. Your expertise in problem-solving, crisis management, and communication will be essential as you manage daily operations and support direct staff. With a focus on health and safety, your role also involves documenting incidents and maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop therapeutic relationships with Warming Center clients • Coordinate shift changes for effective communication • Supervise and monitor resident safety • Document daily events and significant occurrences • Assist with training current direct support workers
Requirements: • 1+ years in a residential setting with marginalized clients • Background in Mental Health and Addictions preferred • 2-year social service diploma or equivalent required • Certification in CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
