Join us in this elite role where your vigilance and dedication contribute to the overall safety and success of our retail partner.Day to DayAs a Loss Prevention Security Guard at Securiguard, your role involves safeguarding the assets and minimizing losses for our retail client. You will conduct routine surveillance, employ your keen observational skills to identify and prevent theft, fraud, or other security breaches. You will regularly patrol the premises, interact with customers and employees to deter potential incidents while maintaining a high level of customer service. Your responsibilities include investigating suspicious activities, reviewing CCTV footage, collaborating with law enforcement when necessary and crafting detailed incident reports. You will enforce security protocols, de‑escalate conflicts, and, when needed, make lawful arrests to ensure a safe and secure setting for both staff and customers.What You BringValid Security Guard License and First Aid/CPRAt least 1 year of security experience in a high‑profile customer‑focused environment such as retail, government,



or healthcare/respite shelters.Previous Loss Prevention Experience is an assetPrevious Use of Force training and arrest experience will be considered an asset.Ability to work at different sites across WindsorStrong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to prepare professional daily and/or incident security reports.Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)Conflict resolution and de‑escalation skillsAbility to conduct arrests in appropriate and sanctioned situations.Military/Police background/Law Enforcement background is an asset.Strong observational skills and situational awarenessPunctualityAble to stand/patrol up to 12 hours.Pay RateHourly rate ranges from $23.00 to $23.50, with progression based on performance.TrainingCompletion of Use of Force Training, Lawful Subject Restraint, and Crisis Management training are requirements. Annual re‑certification is required.
