Lead communications initiatives as the Interim Communications Specialist for the Musqueam Indian Band. Strategically engage with members and the community through effective communication and outreach.

In this undefined full time role, you will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager and implement the approved communications plan. Key responsibilities include creating communication resources, conducting community outreach, and maintaining digital platforms to keep MIB members informed. You'll ensure MIB’s objectives are met in a culturally aware manner while demonstrating attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate implementation of engagement strategies for MIB
• Develop communication resources for members and the public
• Support community outreach and maintain two-way feedback channels




• Design media, including newsletters, for MIB informational needs
• Conduct research related to communications strategies

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a related field with 4+ years' experience
• Knowledge of digital marketing and web management
• Proven experience in Indigenous communications context
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Valid BC Driver’s License and Criminal Records Check
