SLB is seeking an experienced and technically strong Geophysicist to join our team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will provide geophysical expertise to support the delivery of reliable products and services for our customers. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions, support project execution, and drive innovation in seismic imaging. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a collaborative environment. This position offers the chance to contribute to advanced geophysical technologies, support business growth initiatives, engage directly with customers, and collaborate with industry organizations and research institutions to advance subsurface understanding and exploration solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities Provide geophysical expertise and technical support throughout the sales, project planning, execution, and service delivery lifecycle, including participation in customer opportunities, tenders, and project proposals.
Support seismic data processing, imaging, velocity model building, subsurface characterization, and the development of technical workflows and project designs that optimize project outcomes.
Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, and technical specialists to deliver innovative, cost-effective geophysical solutions and value-added products and services for customers.
Provide technical support to operations, including real-time problem solving.




Contribute to the profession through technical papers, presentations, conferences, industry events, and participation in relevant professional societies and technical communities.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geology, Physics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of relevant geophysical experience, preferably within the energy industry and including seismic processing, imaging, and subsurface characterization.
Experience supporting seismic processing, seismic imaging, velocity model building, land seismic data processing, and related geophysical applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and customer-facing environments.
Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
