Summary The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing materials and parts. This role supports warehouse operations by maintaining accurate inventory, inspecting shipments, issuing parts to work orders, and ensuring materials are delivered to the assembly floor in a timely manner. The position also assists with freight coordination and maintains proper documentation for inventory and shipping activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.
- Inspect received and outgoing materials for quality, accuracy, and proper documentation.
- Tag, label, and store inventory in correct warehouse locations.
- Issue parts and materials to work orders following company procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks safely to move materials.
- Track inventory movements using systems such as Global Shop and Excel.
- Dynamics experience is an asset.
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies.
- Assist with freight scheduling and shipping documentation.
- Maintain an organized and secure warehouse environment.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Parts Technician certification preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping & receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Oilfield industry experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Knowledge of waybills, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Working Conditions
- Combination of warehouse and office environment.
- Regular lifting, standing, bending, and material handling required.
- Exposure to warehouse conditions such as noise, dust, and oils.
- Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
