The opportunity:

The Wellness Center Host is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and delivering quality, values based health and wellness programming and services in the wellness centre.

In this role, you will:

- Demonstrate strong support and commitment to the mission and core values of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka and the YMCA in Canada.

- Demonstrate strong support and commitment to serving the membership, facility users and all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka.
- Adhere to all provincial and federal legislation relevant to .

- Build and maintain relationships with members and participants through deliberate dialogue and interaction.
- Be visible and approachable while on duty in program and service delivery. Maintain a strong presence and engage in on-floor health education, fitness leadership and individual conditioning.
- Deliver service friendly fitness programming. Monitor and maintain high quality instruction and customer service, adhering to YMCA Y-Way Standards and best practices.
- Actively work towards maintaining a neat, clean, safe and well organized area at all times.

You bring:

- ­­­­­­­­­­­­­YMCA Individual Conditioning I
- YMCA Individual Conditioning II is recommended
- Minimum age 16
- Standard First Aid and CPR C

- Willingness to participate in mandated training to be completed before or shortly after commencement of work including:

- - AODA Training
- Health & Safety Awareness Training
- Bill 168 (Violence & Harassment in the Workplace) Training
- PCI Compliance
- Child Safeguarding Orientation





- Willingness to be able to work flexible hours based on client needs
