Become an Inspector with the Alberta Energy Regulator's Field Operations team in Fort McMurray, where you’ll focus on oil and gas production compliance. This full-time position highlights your role in enforcing safety and environmental standards.
As part of the Regulatory Compliance branch, you’ll independently conduct inspections and respond to complaints related to thermal production operations. Candidates with a solid background in oil and gas, particularly those with six or more years of experience, will find this role rewarding and impactful. Engage in agile problem-solving while enhancing regulatory practice in Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute complex inspections and draft comprehensive reports
• Address safety incidents and manage stakeholder communication
• Participate in the development of technical policies and procedures
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to inspection programs
• Present to industry and government on compliance issues
Requirements:
• Diploma in engineering or environmental sciences
• 6+ years of field operations or regulatory experience
• Strong understanding of thermal production and compliance
• Flexible, independent, and capable decision-maker
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
