Our client has been growing their business since 2002 and is on the move again! You'll be working under the direction of 34+ years of building experts! Within this role, you will take lead in the smooth integration of health and safety protocols and programs on project sites across the Ottawa/Gatineau area. We are looking for a bilingual candidate with 3-5 years of direct experience in H&S administration, including carrying out inspections, producing inspection reports, and following up on any action items. As lead, the successful candidate will own the position and, together with senior management, develop and increase the presence of the H&S department and its critical role on sites.ResponsibilitiesWork with project team to develop project-specific hazard assessmentsWork with site teams to present site orientations and lead regular toolbox meetingsPrepare safety boards to ensure all required postings and safety kits are up to date for both Ontario and Quebec projectsDrop-off/Pick-up,



log and track locations and inventory safety boardsClean and ready boards for next projectLead and participate in workplace audits and investigations of safety concerns, incidents, and accidentsLead and participate in workplace inspections to ensure that equipment, materials, and production processes do not present a safety or health hazard to employeesDevelop and implement health and safety programs, including standard operating procedures, policies, and training to mitigate risk, optimize workers' health and safety, and foster a positive occupational health and safety cultureInitiate enforcement procedures on workplaces contravening organization and government health and safety standards and regulationsProvide training to employers, employees, and the public on issues of workplace safetyRequirementsKnowledge of construction safety regulationsAttention to detailInterpersonal skillsEducational background in Occupational Health and SafetyKnowledge of the COR accreditation programCriminal Record Check will be required as part of the onboarding processRegistration with the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is a bonusWhat we offerPaid weeklyOvertime paid after 44 hoursVacation Pay accrual#J-18808-Ljbffr
