We’re hiring right now; if you’re interested, apply below for your chance to join a outstanding place to work.Location: Toronto, ON—(Onsite)Pay Rate: $93.49/hrContract Length: 8 MonthsResponsibilitiesManages/schedules activities in automation service unit by applying project management skills to intake automation requests, schedule development and routine activities, as well as maintain a prioritize work list of activitiesSets up and maintains KanBan boards, Jira tickets, and weekly scrums with stakeholders to communicate progress, delays and completionsIndependently creates robotic protocols in Venus 4+ software to manipulate Hamilton liquid handlersCreates, updates and maintains SoftMax Pro protocols in non-GXP environment including fully automated calculations, statistics and summarized final resultsProficient at programming integration software such as Green Button Go, or GeneraFamiliar with pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or analytical QC tests, including, but not limited to ELISAs, protein assays, etc.Maintains detailed user stories, programming notes, and flags opportunities for continuous improvementWorks with cross-functional teams (technologists, scientists, and leadership teams) to translate technical methods or desired manipulations into automated processingDetails precise data outputs, files and aware of data stewardshipQualifications, Education, and Experience(Ideally) Master of Science or Applied Science with a focus on robotics, mechanical engineering,



or high‑throughput assay development3+ years of hands‑on experience in laboratory automation, with significant expertise in Hamilton systemsProven success in optimizing resource usage and throughput by developing and scaling automated liquid handling systemsTechnical SkillsExpertise in automating complex liquid handling workflows using Hamilton systems and other platforms such as SoftMax Pro and electronic laboratory notebooksProficiency in programming languages like Python and JavaScript for developing automated scripts and reducing manual tasksStrong mechanical skills applicable to laboratory automation platforms, such as liquid handlers, laboratory robotic equipment, and integration of multiple instruments/devices into a single workflowFamiliarity with data pipelines, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and system integration for enhanced automation and workflow efficiencyNice to have skillsProficiency in English (French is an asset but not required).Soft SkillsStrong communicator who confidently presents new ideas, leads with conviction, and breaks down complex problems into actionable stepsEnergetic leader capable of managing a small team of automation specialistsAnalytical thinker with proven success in solving complex issuesCollaborative team player who works effectively with technologists, scientists, and leadershipWe strive to build teams that reflect the diversity of the communities we work in.
