Help youth achieve independence as a Part-Time Youth Support Worker at YWCA, working with young people in a supportive home environment. Collaborate with clients to promote positive life choices and self-sufficiency.
You will play a pivotal role in a transitional home for youth aged 11 to 15, focusing on advocacy and life skills development. Candidates are expected to have a strong foundation in human services, particularly in supporting youth facing various challenges. Help maintain a nurturing environment while fostering youth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support clients in developing job readiness and life skills
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the home
• Prepare and cook meals for youth residents
• Document activities and client progress accurately
• Provide guidance during crises and manage daily operations
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers Licence essential
• Familiarity with indigenous culture and youth issues
• Strong administrative and organizational abilities
• Compassionate, positive, and qualified demeanor
• Aptitude for teamwork and independent work
