We need a MedicalRadiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. Our DiagnosticImaging department continues to grow and evolve, with significant investmentsover the past two years, including the MRI program, a recently installeddigital radiography-fluoroscopy system, and a new CT scanner. We are also building capacity by expandingour mammography services with the addition of two new units, alongside severalother ongoing improvement initiatives.
In this role, you will makea meaningful impact on patient care by helping individuals feel informed,supported, and comfortable throughout their imaging experience while deliveringhigh-quality radiographic procedures. As thesuccessful applicants, you will do the following:
Observe all aspects ofpersonnel/patient safety protectionregardingionizingradiation.
Deliver anefficient, caring,co-operativeand highly credible service inImaging
Perform a variety oftechnical procedures that will require independentjudgement,skilland ingenuity to produce quality images.
Review and document patientmedical history as it relates to performing exam.
Assess the diagnosticquality of individual studies anddetermineany necessary correctivemeasures if repeat oradditionalviews arerequiredtocomplete the examination.
Performs all qualitycontrol practices tocomply withequipment maintenance and HARPregulations.
Recognize equipmentmalfunctions and log errors or equipment concerns.Reportimmediatelyany problems with the equipment to the SeniorTechnologist or manager. Arrange for service asrequired.
Perform clerical duties inthe absence of clerical staff or asrequired.
WhatYou’ll Bring
Required
Graduateof recognized school of Radiography
Activemember in positive standing with the College of Medical Radiation and ImagingTechnologists of Ontario
Current Basic Life Support(BLS) certification
Preferred
Experience in a bi-modality or multi-modality imagingenvironment
Additional modality education and/or clinical experience in CT,Mammography,
and/or Bone Mineral Density (BMD)
CT education including sectional anatomy, pathology, andcontrast injection certification considered an asset
Mammography certification/continuing education aligned with CARaccreditation standards considered an asset
BMD certification or related education considered an asset
Experience with Meditech Expanse considered an asset
