Become a Building Service Worker with the City of Burnaby. This role focuses on janitorial tasks and minor repairs within municipal facilities across various shifts.
In this position, you will carry out manual cleaning duties and support facility maintenance. Responsibilities include sweeping, washing, and polishing floors, as well as replenishing supplies in washrooms. You also ensure the grounds are secure by patrolling, while providing information and assistance to the public as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sweep, wash, and polish floors in municipal facilities
• Clean and maintain washrooms, sinks, and toilets
• Patrol building and grounds to maintain security
• Set up and remove furniture for events
• Perform minor repairs on building and equipment
Requirements:
• High school graduation or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of janitorial methods and materials
• Experience in building maintenance and repair tasks
• Valid Driver's License for the Province of B.C.
• Ability to follow instructions and interact courteously with the public
