Job SummaryWorking under the direction of the Operational Manager and in collaboration with other members of the inter‑disciplinary team, the Occupational therapist will assess and treat patients, delegate appropriate duties to OTA/ PTA, provide student supervision and maintain best practice standards in accordance with UHN policies and procedures. This position will primarily cover patients in the Emergency department and involve evening hours.DutiesProvide quality occupational therapy services to patients at Toronto General and Princess Margaret Hospitals within the framework of patient centered careCommunicate effectively with members of the inter‑professional teamProvide education to patients, their families, occupational therapy students and interdisciplinary team membersParticipate in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, committees and quality initiatives in the Department and relevant Programs/ServicesAssist with coverage of other service areas where requiredQualificationsCompletion of a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy (M.Sc. (OT)) or equivalentCurrent registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of OntarioMember of Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) and/or Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists (OSOT) is preferred1-2 years experience in an acute care hospital is preferredExperience with acute patients preferredExperience with Surgical, Oncology, GIM, Cardiovascular, Transplant, MSICU,
