Your Moneris Career – The Opportunity Senior Analyst – Business Advisory & Consulting The Senior Analyst – Business Advisory & Consulting provides expert security advisory services on Moneris’ most complex, high‑risk, and business‑critical initiatives. As a recognized subject matter expert, you will influence secure‑by‑design outcomes across architecture, risk, and delivery decisions while partnering closely with senior technology and business leaders. In this role, you will lead advanced threat and risk assessments (TRAs), application and architecture security reviews, and guide secure adoption across infrastructure, platform, and software‑as‑a‑service environments. You will work at the intersection of security, technology, and business strategy, translating regulatory and industry frameworks into practical guidance that enables innovation while maintaining trust. You will also mentor junior advisors, contributing directly to the maturity and effectiveness of Moneris’ security advisory capability. Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in‑office collaboration with remote flexibility. Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Senior Manager, Security Business Advisory & Consulting. Posting Type: Replacement Position Salary Range: The expected base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $119,000. Total compensation may also include variable or discretionary incentive components, including but not limited to bonuses and commissions. What You’ll Do Lead complex security discussions with project, product, and business teams to influence secure design decisions. Serve as the lead security advisor on high‑risk and business‑critical initiatives. Conduct in‑depth application, API, solution,
and architecture security reviews for systems with elevated risk. Lead Threat and Risk Assessments, recommending remediation strategies, design changes, and risk acceptance decisions. Provide expert guidance on secure adoption, configuration, and monitoring across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. Embed security controls, patterns, and guardrails into development pipelines and DevSecOps practices. Align security advisory outcomes with internal policies and external regulatory and industry frameworks. Mentor and guide junior Analysts and Advisors to strengthen team capability and consistency. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 5–7 years of progressive experience in information security, security advisory, architecture, or risk management roles. Proven experience leading Threat and Risk Assessments and advanced application, cloud, and architecture security reviews. Strong working knowledge of PCI DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, and OWASP (Open Worldwide Application Security Project). Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance in complex, ambiguous environments. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Advanced security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC certifications (e.G., GWAPT, GWEB, GCSA). Cloud or vendor security certifications, including AWS or Azure security specialties. Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or an MBA with a security focus.
