Wireless Survey Specialist (Ekahau)

Permanent Full Time

Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (must live in the GTA)

At GT Global Services, we design and support wireless networks for clients across North America. This role is on the ground in the GTA: you will run Ekahau wireless surveys at client sites, produce heatmaps and reports, and help our engineers place access points so the network actually works.

Responsibilities

- Perform on-site Ekahau wireless surveys (predictive, passive, and active) using Ekahau AI Pro and Sidekick
- Produce coverage, interference, and capacity heatmaps and a explicit written report a client and a GT engineer can act on
- Validate Wi-Fi 6 / 6E designs after install and flag dead zones, channel overlap, and AP placement issues
- Work with GT engineers and project managers on survey scope, site access, and follow-up visits
- Travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area to offices, warehouses, retail, hospitality, and other client sites
- Document floor plans, AP locations, and survey methodology in the project record

Qualifications





- Must live in the Greater Toronto Area and be able to travel to GTA client sites (valid G-class driver’s licence and reliable vehicle)
- Hands-on experience performing wireless site surveys with Ekahau (AI Pro / Pro and Sidekick, or equivalent current Ekahau stack)
- Working knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi (SSIDs, VLANs, 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz, channel planning, interference)
- Able to read a floor plan, walk a site, and explain findings to non-technical clients
- Comfortable working independently on site and delivering reports on time
- CWNA, ECSE (Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer), or similar wireless certification an asset
- Experience surveying retail, warehouse, hospitality, or multi-floor commercial buildings an asset
