Frontier Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Ltd. is a locally owned, well-established new vehicle dealership in *beautiful Smithers, BC*. We’re looking for a skilled, motivated *Journeyman Automotive Service Technician (Red Seal)* to join our busy, well-equipped shop.*Duties** Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.* Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).* Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently.* Service vehicles with focus on alignments, wheel balancing, brake systems, suspension components, and steering systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance.* Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems effectively.* Complete auto estimating for repairs, ensuring accurate assessment of parts and labor costs for customer approval.* Maintain detailed service records, adhere to safety protocols,



and ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and quality standards.*Requirements** Valid Red Seal certification as a Journeyman Automotive Service Technician or equivalent recognized certification.* Proven dealership experience with a solid background in automotive repair and maintenance.* Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrain components.* Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics software and schematics interpretation.* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools.* Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.* Experience working with CDJR vehicles or similar brands is considered an asset.
