We are a collaborative group where your ideas get heard and we genuinely celebrate each other’s wins! In this role you will be the go-to-person ensuring patient records are accurate,



complete and ready when clinicians need them. The HIM Clerk works hands‑on with health information systems and the opportunity to learn new tools that are shaping the future of healthcare data. No two days are the same – you will be collaborating with clinical & administrative teams across the hospitals, building expertise in health information management coding, privacy legislation, and medical terminology that sets you up for long-term career.

What You’ll Bring

Required

- OSSD or equivalent
- Medical Terminology course or working knowledge gained through recent and relevant experience
- Experience with Release of Information (ROI) for patients, legal, insurance,



and Circle of Care

Preferred

- Knowledge of applicable legislation including Public Hospitals Act, Mental Health Act, PHIPA etc.
- Familiarity with solutions such as PocketHealth, Active Fax, Net Delivery, Outlook mailboxes and other technologies related to ensuring patient information is secured, curated, and stored safely and timely within patient’s chart
- Familiarization with Meditech Expanse
