The position will perform the daily, weekly and hour by hour activities and Preventative Maintenance checks required to operate the plant, and maintain a highly reliable,
tour-ready facility Including but not limited to:Process sampling and testingTracking of measurements on a control chartReporting downtimeCovering for other operators’ breaksCleaning and painting throughout the facilityThe ideal candidate will be a strong team player, that supports trust, teamwork, performance, quality, and safety in the operation.Key ResponsibilitiesPreproduction activities include:Assist in installation of equipmentPainting, labellingComplete preproduction trainingPostproduction activities include:Perform routine process sampling and process quality checks, and control chartingComplete daily assessments of the specific tasks assigned to ensure all job hazards and controls are understoodMonitor, clean, inspect and maintain the production equipment including:Presses, kilns, ball mills, jaw crushers, crystallizerPlace and remove product bags under the pressesEnter and adjust product information in the inventory management systemUse a forklift, pallet jack, floor washer and other small equipmentTroubleshoot process equipment and elevate for assistance where requiredMix and manage reagentsPerform general facility cleaning and painting to maintain the site at tour ready conditionPerform minor mechanical repairs on equipment where qualified to do soParticipates, as required, in daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections to ensure housekeeping and safety standards are always maintainedCovering breaks for other operatorsOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience preferredAbility to lift and carry up to 20 kgAbility to stand, bend and work in awkward positions for extended periods of timeStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot process systems an assetStrong attention to detail and problem‑solving skillsFlexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced work environmentAbility to work on a rotating shift schedule, 7 days / week, days and nights,
rotational basis, including holidaysAbility to work in a noisy, dusty environment, with hazardous materialsExperience in hydrometallurgical processes would be an assetWorking ConditionsThis position may require working in outdoor or indoor environments, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.The job may involve shift work, weekend shifts, or on‑call availability depending on operational needs.Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.Certain areas of the facility contain equipment that generates strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields.
