OverviewWe are looking for a temporary prevention information assistant to receive and respond to province wide WorkSafeBC calls. As a member of the call-center, the prevention information assistant is to screen and probe for information from callers and forward calls when appropriate; monitor and maintain a variety of mailboxes and databases on a daily basis; perform a varietyof support, administrative, and associated projects and duties as assigned for various departments and personnel within WES Prevention Services and other departments within WorkSafeBC. We have one 12 month assignment available.How you'll make a differenceYou'll utilize your skills in office administration and customer service to assist our team.Where you'll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.What you'll doHandle incoming phone inquiries on workplace health and safety by probing for information needed to interpret the caller's inquiry or concern, summarizing caller information, and communicating the information to the appropriate person for actionAccess a variety of databases and software to prioritize, record, and assign caller inquiries by following a specific set of guidelines and procedures outlined by the departmentOrganize and maintain files, records,
