Join Hunk Transport as a Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment. Duties

- working for 3 days full time per week or on call.
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trucks and Trailers.
- Utilize schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications using hand tools and power tools to restore equipment functionality
- Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes after repairs to ensure optimal performance

- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs for all completed tasks
- Assist with assembly of recent equipment or parts as needed for fleet upgrades or repairs




- Support safety protocols by conducting routine safety checks and ensuring all repairs meet industry standards

Experience

- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with brand-specific systems such as Caterpillar or other major manufacturers
- Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, HVAC systems, or farm machinery is a strong advantage
- Skilled in automotive repair techniques including electrical troubleshooting, power tool operation, welding, and mechanical assembly
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately to diagnose complex issues
- Experience operating heavy equipment safely in industrial or construction environments
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients about repair needs and maintenance schedules

Pay: $22.70-$44.28 per hour
