Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join our team. This role involves working directly with teenagers and young adults, to provide support, guidance, and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of youth and possess the skills necessary to foster a nurturing and inclusive workplace.

Duties

- Engage with youth in various activities to promote social skills, personal development, and emotional well-being.
- Implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of youth, including those with disabilities.
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to individuals, helping them navigate challenges and achieve personal goals.
- Collaborate with our internal team to develop tailored strategies for each youth's success.




- Monitor progress and document interactions to ensure effective communication among all stakeholders involved in the youth's development.
- Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork, cooperation, and positive relationships among peers.

Qualifications

- Previous experience working with youth is essential.
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Experience working with individuals from marginalized backgrounds is a significant advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, and growth positive mindset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to youth, families and teachers.
- Team player and focus driven

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Brampton, ON L6V 1V1
