Project Procurement ManagerDate:Mar 20, 2026Company:HatchRequisition ID:98810Job Category:ProcurementThe Project Procurement Manager (PPM) is involved in a project from the proposal/study (FEL1, FEL2, FEL3) phases up to the project close‑out and handover of the FEL4 project execution phase. The major interfaces are project management, engineering, project controls and construction management to ensure a cross‑functional implementation of materials management and contracts management processes. The Procurement Manager directs, controls and coordinates the procurement of engineering / construction services, equipment and materials for the project, obtaining optimum performance with respect to cost, technical requirements and quality to satisfy the project budget and schedule. The PPM is the custodian of the entire procurement cycle on the project, which includes materials management and contracts management at the home and/or site offices.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft, coordinate and compile Materials Management and Contracts Management strategies and plans, and the Procurement section of the Project Execution Plan.Implement all procurement processes and procedures, including forms and templates to be used on the project.Manage the entire project procurement lifecycle from the procurement package definition stage to the close‑out stage.Supervise, train and assist all procurement team members across Contracting, Purchasing, Expediting, Vendor Quality Surveillance, Materials Management, Logistics and Site Materials Control disciplines, promoting a healthy and harmonious work setting.Verify and ensure the integrity of the entire procurement lifecycle, validate that all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant procedures, and maintain sound business practices ethically.Interface with the client to ensure objectives are achieved, identify potential problems, and take preventive or corrective actions.Perform resource planning,
including man‑hour allocation and management.Qualifications and Experience12–20 years of experience in an EPCM project environment with capital projects, specifically in a management role.Related training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project and management related training.Experience with drafting commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications.Proficient negotiation and communication skills.Excellent understanding of procurement processes, including both materials and contracts management and corporate governance principles.Knowledge and understanding of quality systems, environmental, health and safety regulations, expediting techniques, Incoterms applications, and procurement systems reporting tools.Experience, understanding and ability to set up and execute contracting and purchasing strategies.Base salary range:$115,000 – $160,000At Hatch, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
