This role involves coordinating tooling changes, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring that safety and efficiency are prioritized in the manufacturing process.Hourly rate:



$30.00 - $35.00Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Setup and Changeover:Set up machines per set‑up parameters or program parameters and install requisite tooling according to production schedulesPerform changeovers, adjustments, and installations for each production runEnsure proper alignment of tooling to the machine and that they are securely mounted to avoid operational and safety hazardsMachine Operation Support:Assist machine operators in adjusting machine settings to meet product specificationsTest new programs and support trial runs to ensure that the machine or program function properly and parts meet quality standardsManage tooling wear and tear, escalating and requesting necessary repairs as requiredTroubleshooting and Maintenance:Identify and troubleshoot problems related to performance or machine malfunctionPerform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacementsReport any mechanical or electrical issues to maintenance personnel for timely repairsQuality Control:Inspect and verify components during initial production runs and throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standardsPerform regular checks to ensure machine performance and part quality meet required tolerances and specificationsAssist in identifying and addressing quality issues such as defects or variations in stamped partsTooling Maintenance:Maintain a clean and organized tooling area, ensuring that tooling is stored and maintained properly to extend their lifespanAssist with preventive maintenance scheduling for knives, punches,



and dies to ensure minimal downtimeSafety and Compliance:Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environmentAdhere to company policies, OSHA regulations, and other relevant safety standardsEnsure that the press area is free from hazards and that all safety guards are in place during die setup and operationCollaboration and Communication:Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and operators to ensure efficient die changeovers and continuous production flowCommunicate effectively with team members to resolve production issues and ensure smooth operationsDocument production changes, maintenance activities, and quality control resultsRecordkeeping and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of setups, maintenance activities, and production performanceReport any machine malfunctions, tooling wear, or part defects to the appropriate personnelSkills and QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent.
