Generate/manage and maintain reports and distribution. Manage driver hours of service. The Dispatcher’s responsibility also ensures a full back‑up of the Dispatching Supervisor’s role and assumes these additional tasks in the absence of the Dispatch Supervisor. This role also includes a rotating shared ON‑CALL service responsibility.ResponsibilitiesManage dispatching software systemAccountable for regular maintenance and updates in the dispatch software including tracking, scheduling, and documentation of delivery information and BOLsReceive and coordinate orders from customers and keep them informed on status of dispatchEstablish delivery schedules according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, and unloading time.
